Hyderabad: It’s official! Great news for Pawan Kalyan fans who have been waiting with bated breath to see their beloved star team up again with blockbuster director Harish Shankar. ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, the latest project of the ‘Gabbar Singh’ actor-director duo, was officially launched today. The duo is as committed as ever to rewriting history once again and breaking the record set by ‘Gabbar Singh’.
“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is funded by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers. The long-awaited project started filming in Hyderabad on Sunday with Pawan Kalyan, director Harish Shankar, producers and several key figures in the film industry.
The event was attended by directors VV Vinayak, K Dasaradh, Malineni Gopichand, Buchi Babu Sana and producers AM Ratnam, Dil Raju, Shirish, TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibhotla, Sahu Garapati, Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Kilaru Satish.
At the same time as Dil Raju sounded the finale, producer Ram Achanta, TG Vishwa Prasad, director Gopichand Malineni, Buchi Babu officially handed over the script to the team. AM Ratnam had turned on the camera and VV Vinayak directed the first shots. Earlier in the morning, the manufacturer unveiled a special poster featuring a casually gorgeous Pawan Kalyan sitting on a Harley-Davidson, wearing an off-white coat and holding a cup of tea.
In the background of the poster, one may notice windmills, moving towers and thunder, which symbolizes the coming of Pawan Kalyan aka Ustaad Bhagat Singh. It also emphatically declared, “This time it’s more than just entertainment” with the Telugu title “Manalni evadra aapedhi”.
The film features a top-notch technical team including cinematographer Ayananka Bose (who worked with Harish Shankar on “Duvvada Jagannadham”), renowned art director Anand Sai (in his comeback film) and editor Chota K Prasad. Devi Sri Prasad, the music director behind blockbuster hits like ‘Jalsa’, ‘Gabbar Singh’, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Rangasthalam’ is the composer, and the film is written by senior director L Dasaradh.
Stunt director duo Ram-Lakshman will choreograph action sequences for the upcoming film. Additional details about cast and crew will be announced soon.
