Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet at the Secunderabad railway station on April 8 for the train between the two Telugu states (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh). The second Vande Bharat train sees you off.
These services will be provided between Secunderabad and Tirupati, operating six days a week. Currently, it takes 11 to 12 hours to drive between Secunderabad and Tirupati, but the Vande Bharat train takes only 8 hours and 30 minutes to reach the destination.
On opening day, trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur stations. Normally, Vande Bharat trains will stop at Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore stations.
The Prime Minister is also expected to start the second phase of the MMTS between Secunderabad and Medchal, lay the foundation stone for the Secunderabad station modernization project and start the Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar dual electrification line.
South Central Railway officials are still awaiting confirmation of the timetable from the Prime Minister’s Office.
