New Delhi: Southern actor Prakash Raj confronted actor Akshay Kumar on Friday over Richa Chadha’s comments on the 2020 Galwan clash in which several Indian Army soldiers were killed.
On Twitter, Prakash Raj responded to Akshay’s tweet and wrote: “Didn’t expect you to be like this @akshaykumar .. said @RichaChadha is better for our country than you sir. #Just asking.”

Akshay previously named Richa on Twitter and shared screenshots of her comments. Along with the photo, he attached his statement, which read: “Sad to see this. Nothing should make us ungrateful to our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain.”

On Wednesday, Richa Chadha reacted to the statement of Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi that the Indian Army is ready to execute any order to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Lieutenant General Dwivedi’s statement referred to the Defense Minister’s previous speech in which he reiterated New Delhi’s determination to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and said that all refugees would take back their land and their homes.
Lieutenant General Dwivedi said: “As far as the Indian Army is concerned, it will carry out any order given by the Indian government. Whenever such an order is given, we will always be ready.”
After sharing the statement, Richa took to her Twitter account and wrote: “Galwan says hi.”
As soon as she tweeted, there was chaos on social media as people started bashing her for talking about the 2020 India-China conflict for allegedly insulting the military.
On Thursday, Richa issued an apology via a tweet.
Richa wrote, “Even though it was never my intention to offend or hurt anyone by being drawn into the controversy with these three words, I apologize and say I would be sad if my words inadvertently triggered this I have feelings for Fauj’s brothers, and my own Nanaji is an outstanding part of it. As a Lieutenant Colonel, he was shot in the leg during the Indochina War in the 1960’s. My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It It’s in my blood.”
She added: “When their son is martyred or even injured while saving a country made up of people like us, the whole family is affected and I know the feeling personally. It’s an emotional issue for me. “
