New Delhi: Starting April 24, Prime Minister Modi will embark on a two-day tour across the country covering more than 5,000 kilometers in 36 hours, during which he will participate in eight projects and visit seven different cities.
Departing from the capital on April 24, the Prime Minister will first go to central India – Madhya Pradesh. After that, he will travel to the southern state of Kerala, followed by a stay in the western Union Territory before returning to Delhi, officials said on Saturday.
The official detailed the itinerary of the prime minister’s long-distance trip, “The prime minister will start his journey on the morning of April 24. He will travel from Delhi to Khajuraho, covering a distance of about 500 kilometers. From Khajuraho, he will go to Rewa, where he will Participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day Programme.
Thereafter, he will return to Khajuraho, a round trip of approximately 280 km. He will travel from Khajuraho to Kochi with an air flight distance of approximately 1700 km to attend the Yuvam Conclave. “The next morning, the Prime Minister will travel about 190 kilometers from Kochi to Trivandrum. Here, he will grace the Vande Bharat Express and dedicate and lay the foundation stones for various projects.
From here, he will travel about 1570 km to Silvassa via Surat. There, he will visit Nanhai Medical College and will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various projects,” they added.
In addition, Prime Minister Modi will then go to Dammam to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Devka waterfront, after which he will travel to Surat, a journey of about 110 kilometers.
“He will return to Delhi from Surat, adding another 940 km to his travel plan,” they said. This dynamic program will see the prime minister fly a staggering distance of around 5,300 km.
“To put this number in perspective, look at the length of India from north to south, which is about 3,200 kilometers.
Adding to the distance is the time factor — all of these trips took just 36 hours,” officials said.
