Endowment Minister Alolla Indrakaran Reddy took part in a protest demonstration organized by TRS members at Sravel in Sansthan Narayanour mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district and the burning of a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Hyderabad: Protests against the BJP have erupted in Telangana, who are trying to lure four TRS MLAs into their camp by offering cash, contracts and jobs. TRS supporters burned portraits of the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and BJP state president Bandy Sanjay. They have also imposed road closures on national and state highways and other arterial roads in the state.
Following the party leadership’s call to protest, state ministers, legislators and other elected representatives joined party cadres in large numbers. They demand stern action against the accused and call on the people to teach the BJP a proper lesson as it tries to buy the democratically elected MLA.
Endowment Funds Minister A Indrakaran Reddy attended a protest organised in Sarvel village in Munugode constituency, where he mocked the BJP for involving some Swamyjis throughout the operation. He called it the lowest point in the BJP’s willingness to succumb to politics and urged people to block such attempts.
Housing Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy held a protest in D Nagaram village in Mandar, Choutuppal, and burned a portrait of the BJP. He warned the BJP of the dire consequences of resorting to cheap politics. He said the BJP’s cheap political game would not yield any results in Telangana and had tried in vain to delay Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao’s entry into state politics.
In various places, TRS (BRS) cadres took out the funeral procession of BJP and leaders including Prime Minister Modi before burning portraits under the slogan “Modi down, BJP down”. Protests were organized in Khammam, Kothagudem, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Sircilla, Jagitial, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Adilabad, Nirmal, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy and all other districts and at the mandal headquarters. In some places, TRS (BRS) cadres have imposed road blockades on national and national highways.
TRS (BRS) cadres also used novel methods to present their protests. Warangal party leader and former Andhra Pradesh Sports Director Rajanala Srihari put a portrait representing the MLA in one basket of the scale and a photo of the currency in the other basket to expose the BJP’s attempts.
Portraits of the BJP were also burned in several places in the Warangal West constituency.
