Security sources claim PTI leadership fueled riots by paying huge sums to Afghan citizens

Islamabad: According to security sources, Afghans were also involved in unrest and violence perpetrated by PJM workers and supporters in Peshawar, where the party’s head, Imran Khan, was arrested.

According to Samaa TV, security sources claimed that the PTI leadership carried out the unrest by paying huge sums of money to Afghan citizens.

Following a string of arrests, law enforcement released a statement of the alleged confession.

Confessions from three Afghan citizens have been released while others are being investigated, the sources said.

They added that Afghan residents were bribed by PTI leadership, Samaa TV reported.

Security sources said the arrested criminals were from Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif.

Meanwhile, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Asim Munir said on Saturday that the armed forces will not tolerate any further attempts to violate the sanctity and safety of its facilities or acts of sabotage and are determined to bring all planners, abettors , instigators and perpetrators brought to justice.
