Prime Minister Modi visited his mother, who turned 100 in June, during the campaign.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi also wished Prime Minister Modi’s mother a speedy recovery, saying: “At this moment, our thoughts are with him (Prime Minister Modi).” Earlier, a statement from the hospital “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Sheila bin Modi, is hospitalized at the United Nations Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center in Ahmedabad and her health is stable,” said the prime minister.
