New Delhi: Criticizing Narendra Modi’s government at the centre, Congress secretary-general Priyanka Gandhi said the voice of the people cannot be silenced and the issues raised by Rahul Gandhi will now resonate across the country.
On Saturday, Priyanka tweeted a video of the parliamentary session and wrote: “Rahul Gandhi is being attacked for these issues. Adani when elected public servants of the people raise issues on their behalf. Servants plotted to silence his voice.”
She added that the Modi government must be accountable to the people.
Priyankar also attacked the Modi government in a series of tweets on Friday. She had said: “Modi, your sycophants call the son of a martyred PM (Rajiv Gandhi) a traitor, Mir Jafar…”
She said Modi insulted the Gandhi family and the entire Kashmiri Pandit community in parliament, but no judge sentenced him to two years in prison or disqualified him from parliament.
Priyankar also tweeted: “…is your friend Gautam Adani greater than the country’s parliament and citizens?”
“The democracy you have been trying to destroy is watered with the blood of my family. Our family has spoken out for Indians and fought for the truth for generations… We have never bowed to a cowardly, power-hungry dictator and never will Do it,” she tweeted.
