Hyderabad: Hyderabad is finally ready to get a much-needed respite from the sweltering heat after experiencing the scorching heat of the past few days.
The local weather bureau has forecast scattered and powerful storms in Telangana state, which includes Hyderabad, from Thursday. That offered a glimmer of hope to citizens who have been enduring the sweltering heat for more than a week.
While Hyderabad is not expected to experience heavy rain every day, sporadic torrential rains are possible on a daily basis, which will bring much-needed relief to the city over the next five days, according to the weatherman.
The India Meteorological Department of Hyderabad (IMD-H) said the city will be mostly cloudy with rain or thundershowers. The upcoming rains are attributed to the western disturbance and the system is expected to bring extensive rainfall to several areas including Telangana. The low pressure area may also lead to thunderstorms in some areas.
