Hyderabad: On Monday, the Rainbow Children’s Hospital in Banjara Hills and Birthright, part of Rainbow Hospital, announced that it has received Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.
Rainbow Children’s Hospital and BirthRight at Rainbow Hospital undergo rigorous checks to meet the 13 chapters and checklist of 1,200 measurable elements prescribed by JCI in order to achieve accreditation. BirthRight Fertility at Rainbow Hospitals in Kondapur was previously accredited by the JCI (JCI).

Dr. Dinesh Kumar Chirla, Director of Intensive Care Services at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, said achieving JCI accreditation was no easy feat. “Accreditation requires a substantial contribution to clinical quality and patient safety. This is an important milestone for our hospital as we continue our journey toward continuous improvement,” he said.
In his speech, Dr. Pranathi Reddy, Clinical Director of Rainbow Hospitals BirthRight, pointed out that JCI accreditation elevates the hospital to the top level of global healthcare. “It also reaffirms that we have excellent medical and operational processes, well-trained and competent staff, and a safe clinical environment backed by technological excellence,” Dr. Pranathi said.
Dr Prashant K, group medical director of Rainbow Children’s Hospital and BirthRight by Rainbow, said the hospital successfully underwent a comprehensive and robust five-day JCI led by two assessors from the US and one from Taiwan. evaluation of. JCI accreditation is achieved after a thorough review of all aspects of hospital operations, clinical protocols, infection control practices, patient and staff safety, and multiple such parameters.
