The IMD has issued a yellow alert in the city for the next two days, indicating light to moderate rain and thunderstorms.

Hyderabad: Citizens were respite from the scorching summer weather on Sunday, with persistent rain in different parts of the city. The weather forecast for the next few days will also keep the city safe from the sweltering heat.
While this morning and afternoon remained hot in line with the weather in the city over the past few days, the overcast later in the day turned pleasant. Parts of the city were soon greeted with showers.
The Indian Meteorological Department Hyderabad (IMD-H) has issued a yellow alert indicating light to moderate rain and thunderstorms for the city over the next two days. On Sunday, the weather forecast mentioned light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusts of 30-40 km/h in Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad and Serilingampally areas.
Yellow alerts have also been issued for other parts of Telangana. Thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts (30-40 km/h) can occur in remote areas of areas like Rangareddy, Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabababad , Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Medchal Malkajigiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthi, Narayanpet, Jogulamba and Gadwal. The forecast was issued on Monday and Tuesday.
