Yellareddypet High School refurbished under Mana Ooru Mana Bandi scheme
Rajana Sisira: Yellareddypet Zilla Parishad High School gets a new look. Earlier, the school was in dilapidated condition and was refurbished with modern facilities under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi scheme.
Local MLA and IT Minister KT Rama Rao will inaugurate the renovated school on Tuesday. At the request of former students, Rama Rao pledged to develop the school. In line with its corporate social responsibility, Give Telangana Foundation refurbished the school.
By co-locating anganwadi centre, primary school and high school on the same site, the old ZPHS has been developed into a comprehensive school.
This means that students from anganwadi centers up to study X grades will be housed at the school which cost Rs 8.5 lakh to refurbish. In addition to classrooms, playgrounds, libraries, laboratories and other facilities have been developed.
A model laboratory is also provided along with 48 computers, 400-seat canteen, kitchen shed, separate male and female toilets, water filtration, digital boards, running water and hand washing facilities. Existing physical and biological science laboratories are enhanced by providing additional facilities.
On the other hand, parents from neighboring Mandel are now joining their wards due to the modern facilities provided to the students.
