Hyderabad: Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy-adventure “Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva,” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, finally released on streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on Friday.
The film was released in theaters on September 9, breaking a number of box office records. However, there has also been some criticism surrounding the film over several factors – the lead’s love story, dialogue, depth of character arcs, and more.
Keeping this feedback in mind, Ayan reportedly said in an interview with “Bollywood Hungama” that he changed Shiva and Isha’s love story in a subtle way.
“I have a little bit of a comment on Arya’s love image in the movie… There are a few places where I feel like I might have edited it too badly to not allow the slightest pause in the actor’s expression,… So I added some clips to Shiva and Isha’s love story, and Isha’s attraction to Shiva…(sic),” Ayan reportedly said.
“It’s subtle stuff, so unless you’ve seen the movie three or four times, you probably won’t realize it, but I’m sure it will make the journey of the movie a lot smoother,” Ayan added.
“Brahmastra Part One: Shiva” is the first part of the planned Astraverse trilogy. In addition to Ranbir and Alia, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan in key roles.
