Mumbai: Leading sports broadcaster Sony Sports Network has announced the exclusive hiring of Sania Mirza as a Tennis Ambassador who will be considered as part of the network’s panel of experts. The Sony Sports Network is home to three of the four Grand Slams, the Australian Open, Roland Garros, US Open and Davis Cup, making it the tennis home of India.
Sania Mirza is a household name in India, and her achievements have put the country on the global tennis map. She has won six Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open (2 times), US Open (2 times), French Open (1 time) and Wimbledon (1 time), including three women’s doubles titles and three mixed doubles titles , is one of the most successful tennis players in Indian history.
After a stellar career, fans saw her serve on the tennis court and now Sania Mirza will also be providing expert insights off the court via Sony Sports Network’s Extraaa Serve. The Arjuna Award, Padma Shri, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award and Padma Bhushan winners will be seen on Sony Sports Network from the French Open on May 28, 2023.
