Karman: Student Federation of India (SFI) activists staged protests at collection points in Kota Gudam and Kaman districts on Monday, demanding solutions to problems faced by students in public schools and colleges.
The protests are part of a call for “chalo collectors” by the Federation’s state board. In Kothagudem, KSM Faculty of Engineering launched a rally for collectors.
SFI leadership asked school district tax collectors to come out and answer students’ questions. Afterwards, they jumped over the collection door and went inside to hold the dharma. SFI State Assistant Secretary Damera Kiran addressed the media seeking the release of expense reimbursement charges and pending scholarships.
In a similar protest in Khammam, SFI regional president T Praveen demanded that vacant teacher and lecturer positions in public schools and colleges be filled.
