Hyderabad: In a recent Instagram post, Anubhav Sinha, director of the upcoming film “Bheed,” lavished praise on Dia Mirza, who plays a pivotal role in the social drama. The duo have previously collaborated on “Thappad,” “Cash” and “Dus,” and “Bheed” is their fourth project together.
“When we first met, she was the new Miss India. Then we did a lot of music videos together. Then ‘Dus,’ ‘Cash,’ and more. With each film, she became a better actress. Thank you Dia,” the filmmakers wrote.
In the past, Dia has expressed her love for Sinha’s work, and that “Bheed” is a project very close to her heart. “I hope ‘Bheed’ expands our worldview and helps us include those who are like us but don’t have the luxury of living in a sanitized bubble,” the actor said in a statement.
Bheed, which opens globally on March 24, stars Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj Kapur and Ashutosh Rana, with Mirza playing key roles.
