Mumbai: Cricketer Shubhman Gill is now ready to wow audiences with his voice. Yes, you read that right. The Indian batsman will voice Indian Spider-Man Pavitr Prabhakar in the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the upcoming Sony Pictures animated film Into the Spider-Verse.
After sharing the update, Shubhman wrote on Instagram: “Shub-Man is now Spider-Man! Excited to voice Pavitr Prabhakar, the Indian Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Crossing #SpiderVerse. Trailer is about to drop! Get ready for some Operation Cyber Sling.”
The news has his fans excited.
“Leaving a mark on every field,” commented one social media user. “Wow super excited,” wrote another.
Excited about this, Shubhman went on to say, “I grew up watching Spider-Man, and he’s one of the most relatable superheroes. Since this movie will feature the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen, it’s time to use Indian Spider-Man.” Casting Pavitr Prabhakar, our Indian Spider-Man, in Pavitr and Punjabi has been a phenomenal experience for me. I already feel superhuman. I am very much looking forward to the release of the film.”

Meanwhile, Shubman is currently busy playing for the Gujarat Titans in the 16th IPL.
