The South Indian Cultural Association (SICA) and Nisha Rajagopalan organized a two-day Foundation Day Concert at Ravindra Bharathi.

Hyderabad: South Indian Cultural Association presents two-day Foundation Day Concert at Ravindra Bharathi with Nisha Rajagopalan accompanied by VSP Gayatri Sivani (Violin), Jayabhaskar Peravali (mrudangam), V Ramana Murthy (Ghatam) and presented by Urjitha Patel on sruthi Support, on day one.
Nisha Rajagopalan started the concert with Tyagaraja composed of Bilahari raga Keerthana ‘Inthakanna Anandamemi’ set to Rupaka tala, followed by Natabhairavi’s Sri Valli Deva Senapathe a Papanasm Sivan kruthi. Then she took ragalapana in Dhanyasi, followed by ‘Meena lochana lola’ in Syama Sastry kruthi.
She continues with Dixitar combination in Brundavana Saranga kruthi ‘Rangapura vihara’ rupaka talam, then moves to main with beautiful alapana in Kalyani, then ‘Etha unara nilakda neeku’, a Tyagaraja kruthi. The second part has Eppo vaduva, Gopalakrishna Bharathi kruthi of Shenjuruti raga, Kuranji raga kruthi of Annamacharya and marathi abhang of Mishra sivaranja.
At the opening of the festival, retired civil servant K Padmanabhayya praised SICA’s efforts in serving the music industry over the past 64 years. Dr S Chakravarthy IAS (rtd), Dr KV Ramana Jt. The meeting was attended by Secretary NVSP Reddy, Head of Hyderabad Circle, State Bank of Punjab and BV Naresh, Head of Secunderabad Circle, and Major SPS Oberoi, Academic Advisor, EKAM IAS Academy.
