Sidi Pete: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said farmers in Siddipet will soon earn Rs 100,000-1.5 lakh per acre of oil palm crop.
Speaking to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Athmeeya Sammelanam at the Nanganuru Mandal headquarters on Wednesday, the minister said an oil palm plant will be built in Nanganuru to make marketing of oil palm easier.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao After praying at the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple Konaipally, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao pointed out that farmers’ lives changed drastically after the formation of Telangana and he has set out to achieve an independent Telangana state. The Chief Minister will seek similar support from the people of Nanganuru to rule the country.
Thanks to the efforts of the Chief Minister, every piece of land has received water for irrigation, making Telangana the bread bowl of India. Recalling the hurdles farmers faced before Telangana was established, the minister said the women of Telangana had lost all their gold jewelry because they were just digging wells in the fields to get water. However, no wells have been drilled in the Siddipet area this summer as the government has ensured that every tank and stream is filled.
