sidi peter: The Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Komuravelly has been decked out for the annual Kalyana Mahotsavam.
On Sunday, the annual Kalyanam will be performed with his consorts Medala Devi and Kethamma Devi in front of thousands of devotees. Kalaynam will be performed at Kalyana Matapam built by Thota Bavi.
On behalf of the state government, Finance Minister T Harish Rao will present silk vastrams to the Lord God before the ceremony. Several peetadhipathis and devotees from Telangana and other neighboring countries will witness the spectacle. On the eve of Kalyanam, the temple is decorated with special lights.
Meanwhile, Sidipet Police Chief N Swetha said 280 officers will be deployed to ensure devotees have a safe and worry-free darshan on Sunday.
In addition to setting up a control room, 80 CCTV cameras were installed to monitor the movement of believers, the commissioner said.
