Hyderabad: Kapra unit Singareni Retired Employees Welfare Association has urged the company chairman and managing director to abolish the practice of renewing the CPRMS medical card every year as it creates a lot of hardship for retired employees.
In a letter to SCCL chairman and managing director on Monday, association chairman D Ramachander Rao and secretary Bhupelli Banaiah said retired employees do not need to renew their medical cards through the company website every year as they receive treatment at the Singareni empaneled hospital.
He said that the replacement of medical cards can be done at designated hospitals, which will be more convenient for retired employees.
He urged CMD companies to take immediate steps to stop the practice of renewing digital medical cards every year.
