Six arrested by police over murder of rickshaw driver in Miyapur

Hyderabad: Police arrested six people in connection with the murder of an auto rickshaw driver in Miyapur on Friday night.
Those arrested were Shaik Asif (22), Mohd Abbas (23), Sameer Khan (22), Shaik Al Shaik Ahmed (25), Aslam Khan (20) and Mohammed Fareduddin (22).
The victim, Akheel, 23, a resident of Borabanda, came to Hafeezpet Miyapur on Friday night to celebrate the Bakrid Festival. “There was a quarrel among them over some financial matters during which six people stabbed the victim with knives and beat the victim to death with sticks,” said Miyapur inspector N Thirupathi Rao.
Akhil, who previously lived in Hafizpet, moved to Bora Bandar with his wife and children, police said. He was allegedly involved in a murder case reported within the KPHB police station.
Those arrested have been taken to court and remanded in custody.
