Hyderabad: On Wednesday, cybercrime police arrested a social worker for publishing fake news that Telangana police officers were working as labourers at the farmhouse of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The arrested person was P. Srinivas Reddy (46 years old) of Satavahana Colony, LB Nagar.
Police said Srinivas Reddy recently released a video showing some Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) personnel working on a farmland claiming to be the chief minister’s farmhouse. However, this was fake and damaged the morale of the state police.
The TSSP official who condemned the post clarified that the video was an old video of the man preparing farmland at Dichpally’s battalion at the time.
