Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor will join icons such as Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Tom Cruise at King Charles’ coronation concert on May 7.
She was invited to give an exclusive spoken piece at the highly anticipated coronation of King Charles III, and she will present Steve Winwood and the exclusive Commonwealth Virtual Choir at Windsor Castle, UK on May 7th.
The coronation of His Majesties the King and Queen will be held at Westminster Abbey on 6 May, followed by a celebratory concert at Windsor Castle on 7 May.
The concert will invite global music icons and contemporary stars to celebrate this historic moment together.
On the occasion, Sonnen said: “It is an honor to join the Commonwealth Virtual Choir in this ceremony, celebrating His Majesty’s love of music and the arts. This is an important moment, symbolizing a positive, inclusive and optimistic future for the UK The choir’s music pays homage to the royal heritage and promotes unity, peace and joy.”

Hosted by Hugh Bonneville, the concert will celebrate the coronation of His Majesty the King and Queen in front of 20,000 members of the public and invited guests, as well as millions of viewers around the world.
Artists such as Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Turfel, Freya Riddings, Alexis French and five A royal patron collaboration will be unveiled, while stars including Tom Cruise, Dame Joan Collins and Sir Tom Jones will message via video.
