New Delhi: Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodho Yatra in the national capital on Saturday.
They were accompanied by Priyanka’s husband, Robert Vadra.
As the march entered the capital in the morning, former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the BJP, saying they believed in “spreading hatred” but ordinary people wanted “harmony”.
“The policy of BJP and RSS is to spread fear and hate and we will not allow that. I am selling love in the market of hate,” he said.
The yatra that entered the border of Badarpur early this morning will reach Ashram around 10.30 am
After a short break, the mega walkathon will continue at 1.30pm via Hazrat Nizamuddin and India Gate to the Red Fort.
Upon reaching the Red Fort, Rahul Gandhi will pay his respects at Rajghat and rest until January 3, 2023.
During the nine-day holiday, containers will be repaired and prepared for the harsh northern winter, according to Congress secretary-general Jairam Ramesh.
