The main purpose of the “Hour of Innovation” program is to stimulate people’s creativity and channel them into innovations that solve their problems
Hyderabad: On Friday, the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) under its “T-Innovation Mahostavam” conducted the “Innovation Hour” at different Gram Panchayats with the support of the Panchayat Raj department. At the university it is organized jointly with other partners.
The main purpose of the program is to stimulate people’s creativity and channel it into innovations to solve their problems.
As part of the programme, it has implemented Hour of Innovation in various Gram Panchayats with the support of the Panchayat Raj Department and jointly organized it in universities with other partners. Conducted a webinar “Innovation Hour” at the university to introduce students to design thinking.
TSIC teams visit villages to create awareness of the importance of innovation and innovators who break stereotypes and find solutions to local problems. They also have the opportunity to identify the problem statement and propose a solution on the spot.
The program is carried out at the panchayat level by the Sarpanch and Panchayat secretaries. All issues raised by people are recorded and all relevant issues that are prevalent in the various villages are identified. The TSIC team will further review and plan existing innovations or propose new ones.
IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said, “TSIC in the name of Hour For Innovation has come up with a great mechanism for ordinary people at the grassroots level to be part of the innovation ecosystem.”
