Battlegrounds Mobile India (also known as BGMI) is finally on its way back to the app store after leaving a gap of almost ten months in the lives of desi gamers

Hyderabad: BGMI is an online multiplayer battle game that became popular after PUBG was banned. It’s very similar to the latter and is built for Indian gamers.
Games made by South Korean company Krafton were banned in India in July 2022 due to some security concerns. Reports of the Indian government lifting the ban surfaced online on Friday, bringing joy to gamers in the country.
According to reports, the game will be lifted for only three months, and the game will be strictly monitored. Crafton expressed his gratitude to the Indian government and announced that the game will be available for download soon.
While many flocked to app stores hoping to download the game, they found nothing but disappointment, as the company only tested its modified features with a select group of beta players. It further announced that the game shouldn’t be showing up on the Play Store and that it was just a glitch.
While the most popular game isn’t available for download yet, gamers can rest assured that it will be available soon.
India ranks second in government takedown requests: App Store report
The Indian government ordered the removal of 14 apps from Apple’s App Store based on its 2022 App Store Transparency Report, the second-highest number of countries requesting to do so after China.
Of the 14 apps that were requested to be removed, one was requested by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team and 13 were requested by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology because they violated the 2000 Information Technology Act. Law”. India also ranked fourth with 709 calls to remove apps and 36 calls to reinstate apps made by developers.
Google Pay supports RuPay credit card payment
UPI-based online payment app Google Pay will now allow users to add RuPay credit cards for payment. Google has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) to roll out this feature.
As of now, Google Pay supports RuPay credit cards issued by Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank and union Bank of India. It also announced that more banks will be added soon.
AI will replace search engines and shopping sites: Bill Gates
At AI Forward 2023, hosted by Goldman Sachs and SV Angel, billionaire Bill Gates said future top artificial intelligence agents will likely replace search engines and shopping sites.
“You’ll never go to Google again. You’ll never go to Amazon,” he reportedly said.
He also said he expects Microsoft to be the frontrunner in the AI race, but added that he sees a 50 percent chance of emerging as a startup.
