Indians are jumping on the bandwagon and adapting to the latest wave of artificial intelligence. If recent reports are to be believed, we are leapfrogging several other countries.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s corporate vice president and chief marketing officer, revealed some interesting details in an interview with PTI. According to Bing, which recently integrated OpenAI’s ChatGPT, India is one of the top three markets for the search engine.
When the interactive chatbot first made domestic headlines, soon everyone was testing ChatGPT’s knowledge on different topics. It was both interesting and surprising to see the tool generate paragraphs of information in seconds.
Soon, organizations and individuals were commissioning the tool to write code, emails, and other content. Of course, the number of people now using Bing with ChatGPT integrated has also increased significantly.
This newfound awareness of AI and its immense capabilities has also helped Indians discover other AI-powered applications. Mainly those who edit or create fake images or even clone voices. Mehdi further stated that the country was the first to use Bing Image Creator to create fake AI images.
At a time when artificial intelligence is about to change the way we live and work, it is certainly a positive sign for citizens to adapt to it. It is now up to policymakers to create a safe online environment to further explore and adapt AI.

twitter verified unfollow account
After an incredible change to Twitter’s verification label, Twitter Verified Accounts deactivated 4,20,000 old verified accounts.
The move is meant to encourage more users to sign up for Twitter Blue, a paid subscription service the company launched after Elon Musk took over as CEO. Last month, the microblogging site announced that it would remove the blue check mark for all legacy verified accounts starting April 1.
