GEM girls planted saplings at NTPC on Thursday as part of Swachhta Pakhwada.
Pedapari: Under the direction of Deepthi Mahila Samithi (DMS), participants in the Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 at NTPC Ramagundam organized a morning walk as part of the ongoing cleanup campaign Swachhta Pakhwada.
Enthusiastic GEM participants marched through the streets of the permanent township of NTPC Ramagundam, holding placards and chanting slogans to raise awareness on sanitation and hygiene.
After the morning walk, there was a tree planting event by the GEM participants and the head of office at DMS.
DMS President Usha Kumar addressed the gathering, emphasizing their commitment to helping GEM participants understand their environmental responsibilities. She encourages them to develop healthy habits and keep their surroundings clean to ensure a safe and secure future. Kumar pledged continued support for these goals.
In preparation for the event, the girls had a sign-making session the day before, where they had the opportunity to showcase their creativity and imagination.
