According to the GO, the houses will be sanctioned in the name of women and beneficiaries will be allowed to build houses with their own type of design

Hyderabad: Following the announcement of the Gruhalakshmi scheme for SC, ST, BC and minorities to fast-track the implementation of housing under the beneficiary-led construction model (BLC), the state government on Wednesday issued guidelines for selecting beneficiaries and financial approval to support the scheme .
According to the GO issued by the Special Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Roads and Construction, the houses will be approved in the name of women and the beneficiaries will be allowed to adopt their own design types to build the houses. An assistance of Rs 3 lakh each will be provided to build a two-bedroom house with RCC frame structure and toilets.
The Gruhalakshmi sign is approved by the state government and should be fixed on the house. The beneficiary shall have his own homestead. The beneficiary or any other family member should have a food safety card. The beneficiary list for each parliamentary constituency should include no less than 20% SC, 10% ST and 50% BC and minorities.
The Telangana Housing Corporation has proposed to implement a new housing plan to build houses on their own land, provide assistance of 300,000 rupees per person, and build 400,000 houses, not less than 3,000 houses in each constituency. The government has provided a budget allocation of Rs 1,200 crore for the 2023-24 financial year under the scheme.
Of this, Rs 7,350 crore was allocated to new housing schemes in the beneficiaries’ own localities. Collectors will be nodal officers for the implementation of the program in each region. In the GHMC area, the commissioner will be a nodal officer for the Gruhalakhsmi scheme.
