Telangana: HDFC Bank to spend Rs 7 crore in Bhupalpally district under CSR

Bhupapalli: Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, HDFC Bank has invested a total of Rs 8 million, including Rs 7 crore this year, in development projects in remote areas of the region. The program aims to improve the living standards of residents in 19 villages. Minister Satyavathi Rathod launched a comprehensive rural development initiative in Kamalapur village here on Sunday.

The minister commended the efforts of HDFC Bank, highlighting that the bank spent Rs 1 crore to build digital classrooms in schools last year and another Rs 7 crore to develop these classrooms in 19 rural integrated development villages this year. She has also started digital classrooms in local schools and opened the Sakhi Center Building in Bhupalpally Township. The Sakhi Center is a government initiative to address women’s issues and the center in Bhupalpally cost Rs 6.6 million to build. Among other things, she launched an ambulance service costing Rs 2.5 lakh and urged officials to use it to provide better healthcare for the poor.
