ICID’s 25th General Assembly and its 74th International Executive Committee Meeting to be held in Visakhapatnam from 1-8 November

Hyderabad: Representatives of the ICID on Friday approached Telangana state for its participation in hosting the international congress, given its rapid progress in expanding its irrigation sector, greatly increasing its food production. More than 500 foreign delegates and 750 experts in the field of agricultural water will take part in the conference on “Solving Water Scarcity in Agriculture” from 1 to 8 November. He said ICID would reward the World Heritage Irrigation Structure. In 2018, the award was given to the Sadarmat and Kamareddy Peddavagu projects in Telangana.
Muralidhar assured representatives of ICID that the matter would be brought to the attention of the government.
Giridhar, Director of ICID Conference International Committee, Ramesh Kumar, Director of CWC, and CM OSD Sridhar Rao Deshpande, among others, met with the Chief Engineer at the meeting.
