On Friday, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy inspected the Telangana Martyrs Memorial project.
Hyderabad: The upcoming Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Hussain Sagar will be the world’s largest monument made of rare stainless steel. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate the memorial next month.
The structure, which is undergoing finishing works, was inspected on Friday at the request of Chief Minister, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy as part of his stocktaking mission.
Prashant Reddy quoted the Chief Minister as saying that the Telangana Martyrs Memorial was designed to reflect the sacrifices made by all those who fought for nationhood. Construction involved advanced technology and rare stainless steel imported from other countries.
After the building is completed, it will become a spectacle that amazes the world. Visitors will nostalgically walk down memory lane once they step into the venue.
He hoped that the authorities and executive agencies overseeing the work would be able to devote their full attention to the final shape of the monument, so that a glimpse will touch everyone’s heart.
He asked them to pay attention to the greenery and landscaping around them. He instructed them to speed up the progress of the project and complete it on schedule.
He inspected works such as main entrance, car park, Telangana thalli statue, fountain area, granite floors, photo booth, audiovisual room, lifts, escalators, conference centre, top floor restaurant and Jyothi Memorial.
