Nizamabad: On Saturday, the district administration, in cooperation with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), conducted a mock exercise at the sports authority’s grounds here to deal with any type of natural disaster.
The NDRF team from Vijayawada conducted simulation exercises for various natural disasters such as toxic gas release from industrial units, fire accidents, and collapse of high-rise buildings. A large number of students, NCC trainees, heads of various departments and local people watched the simulation exercise with great interest.
Another collector, B Chandrasekhar, appreciates the role played by the NDRF during natural disasters.
