School Education Sector has different activities for PTM under 3 E’s (Engage, Educate and Empower)
UPDATE – Thursday, July 23 at 10:37pm
Hyderabad: Parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), scheduled for July 15 in all government and local group schools, will engage, educate and empower parents beyond just discussing how students are doing in the classroom.
The Department of School Education has developed different activities for PTM under the three E’s (Engage, Educate and Empower) which will be held on the third Saturday of every month. Those events included ones that asked parents to introduce themselves, according to procedures released by the department Thursday.
During the conference, parents will be informed about various academic activities including ‘Tholimettu’, ‘Intinta Chaduvula Panta’ and ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Badi’ programmes, among others.
Teachers have been told to install the “Intinta Chaduvula Panta” app on parents’ smartphones so that students can evaluate their performance in various subjects and send the performance to the relevant teachers.
As part of the one-on-one conversations with parents and children, teachers are asked to highlight the child’s strengths, strengths, and weaknesses, in addition to discussing areas for improvement.
Prior to the meeting, principals have been instructed to issue PTM invitations to students in writing and to ensure 100% parent participation.
