Telangana's T-Hub wins National Technology Award

Hyderabad: Telangana’s start-up ecosystem enabler T-Hub has added another feather, scooping the National Technology Award for the country’s best technology business incubator.

To provide a platform for recognition to Indian industry and its technology providers who are committed to bringing innovations to market and helping realize Atmanirbhar Bharat’s vision, the Technology Development Board (TDB) seeks applications for the National Technology Awards in five categories: Main, MSME, Start-ups , translational research and technology business incubator, from various industries to successfully commercialize innovative indigenous technologies, participating research scientists and technology business incubators. This year, a total of 11 winners were selected following a rigorous two-tier evaluation process, with a panel of distinguished scientists and technologists.

According to officials, the T-Hub Foundation received the Technology Business Incubator Award (Category E) for its “outstanding contribution in the development of technological entrepreneurship by promoting innovation in different technological fields, technology-driven knowledge, intensive entrepreneurial ventures” .

The awards are presented as part of National Technology Week 2023, organized by the Technology Development Council with 12 joint ministries and departments, focusing on Atal’s innovation mission, plans and innovations in different sectors of the innovation life cycle, with a central theme of ” “From school to entrepreneurship – igniting young minds to innovate,” said a press release from PIB.

IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao, who is currently visiting the UK, took to Twitter to congratulate T-Hub on its achievement.

“I am delighted and proud that T-Hub Hyderabad has won the National Technology Award-2023 (Technology Business Incubation). Big congratulations to the T-Hub team. T-Hub has been named the best technology incubator in India by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India,” (sic), he tweeted.
