APSRTC has rolled out 12 electric buses between Kadapa and Tirumala. They were opened by Mallikarjuna Reddy, Chairman of the Company.

Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has rolled out 12 electric buses between Kadapa and Tirumala starting Monday. The bus service was inaugurated at Kadapa station by the company chairman, Mallikarjuna Reddy. He held a puja for the electric bus at Kadapa station.
Starting with 12 buses, 6 buses will go direct to the service. Buses operate from 4.30am to 7.30pm. The bus fare is 340 rupees for adults and 260 rupees for children.
All stations in the state will gradually transition to electric bus service. “In the first phase, 50 electric buses are already running between Tirumala and Tirupati, 14 between Tirumala and Renigunta airport, 12 between Tirupati and Madanapalle and 12 between Tirupati and Nellore routes,” the company said. Chairman Mallikarjuna Reddy said.
