Hyderabad: On Thursday, the state government formed a committee to develop guidelines to keep children safe in schools across the state.
The Special Principal Secretary to the Government, Ministry of Labour and Employment will chair the committee, while the Special Secretary to the Government, WCD and SC and additional DGP (Women’s Security Department) Swati Lakla will serve as members of the committee.
The government’s move comes in the wake of the recent sexual assault of a four-year-old girl by the driver of a private school principal at her school premises in Bangara Hills.
The government took this incident seriously and decided to take steps to prevent adverse incidents that jeopardize the safety and security of children due to negligence and inability to act in time by school authorities.
