Team of Enforcement Bureau officers questioned two suspects in TSPSC test paper leak case Monday
Hyderabad: A team of Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers questioned two suspects in the TSPSC exam paper leak case – Praveen Kumar and Rajasekhar Reddy – at Central Prison Chanchalguda on Monday.
The local court has allowed the ED to interrogate the two suspects for two days. The ED has filed a petition with the court seeking permission to question the suspects in a money laundering case.
Education Department officials have received complaints from various sources that the agency suspects a significant amount of money has changed hands in connection with the leak of TSPSC documents. ED officers suspected that Praveen and Rajasekhar had collected huge sums of money from different candidates and provided them with papers for various exams conducted by TSPSC.
The ED team arrived at the central jail, Chanchalguda, around 11 am and interrogated the two suspects inside the prison until 5 pm. The trial will also continue on Tuesday.
The ED is understood to have investigated the bank accounts opened by the two suspects and other details relating to financial transactions carried out by them. The ED also collected details of bank accounts maintained by the pair.
SIT Hyderabad arrested 17 people and remanded them in custody.
