Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming romantic film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ on Wednesday unveiled the track for the long-awaited film ‘Tum Kya Mile’.
Director Karan Johar shared the song on Instagram with the caption: “Any love story deserves a proper love song! I’m so lucky #TumKyaMile happened to our kahaani – #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani! Song out now Already! “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” will be released on July 28.”
With the mesmerizing vocal prowess of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, coupled with gripping lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, this romantic melody evokes a range of emotions. Pritam’s musical genius adds color to this magical experience, and his compositions provide the perfect backdrop for this romantic masterpiece.
Producers recently released a trailer for the film featuring only a few lines from the song “Tum Kya Mile,” and fans have been eagerly awaiting the full song ever since.
In the song, Ranveer and Alia can be seen romanticizing each other on the snow-capped mountains of Kashmir. Interestingly, the film also reproduces the famous chiffon sari and actors dancing in the snow-capped mountains.
Speaking about the song, Karan Johar said, “Love songs are always challenging, especially when one has a legacy to honor. Dharma Productions’ love songs have always connected with listeners around the world I remember we kept the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani love song recording at the end because Pritam Dada, Amitabh and I were so nervous about the performance of the song. We always met at the Bandra office because Dada Think it was very lucky for him. I remember in one of our meetings he let us hear the melody of Tum Kya Mile and it immediately resonated with me. The simplicity of the song connects with me. Ah Mitab is beautifully written – I love using the word “pagon”. Arijit and Shreya put their almost genius melodies into the melody like a sone pe suhaga. Tum Kya Mile is all of us indeed Part of the collective heart, I do hope it will create a beautiful connection with the audience like so many of our love songs.”
Arijit Singh said: “It was a great honor to be able to voice Pritam Da’s mesmerizing song ‘Tum Kya Mile’. I am delighted to be a part of such a beautiful and heartfelt melody.
