Hyderabad: Elon Musk-owned Twitter has removed the blue tick for users who are not Twitter Blue Tick subscribers. Earlier, Elon Musk announced that if Twitter wanted Blue Tick, they would have to pay for it. Twitter said that starting April 1, only paid subscribers will be able to have the Twitter Blue Tick, and the company will remove the “legacy check mark” for non-paid subscribers.
As previously mentioned, on April 20, Twitter removed the blue ticks from accounts that had not paid their monthly fee. About 300,000 users lost their original blue badges yesterday, reports said. Popular celebrities like Beyoncé, Pope Francis, Shah Rukh Khan, Oprah Winfrey and former President Donald Trump lost their blue ticks.
