New Delhi: Twitter, owned by Elon Musk, has announced the upcoming rollout of its “Organization Verification” feature, previously known as “Blue for Business.”
The company said it will review applications and allow a limited set of organizations to use the feature.
“We will soon be launching Verification for Organizations, formerly known as Blue for Business. You can request early access through our waitlist,” tweeted.
According to the company, as a subscriber, you and your business will receive a business account and affiliate badge through our self-service admin portal.
“We will review applications on a rolling basis and open access to a limited group in the coming weeks,” the microblogging platform said.
The company is frantically trying to monetize its platform in various ways.
Since Musk took over, the billionaire has worked to boost the company’s revenue, including charging for its $8 verified Blue subscription service.
Twitter will soon begin selling usernames to boost its revenue through an online operation that has been inactive.
It’s unclear how much Twitter will charge for selling inactive usernames.
Some advertisers have left the Weibo platform as the company slashed internal revenue forecasts.
Meanwhile, Musk said on Saturday that Twitter will release tweet referral codes soon and make account/tweet status visible “no later than next month.”
“Transparency builds trust,” he tweeted.
