Madak: Two young farmers drowned in a field in Ibrahimpur village of Chegunta Mandal on Wednesday morning.
Four teenagers from the village went down the well to install a single-phase motor in the well, but they accidentally slipped and fell into the water. The victims were Maisammagari Swamy (26 years old) and Baikadi Praveen (20 years old). Neither could swim, and both drowned.
The villagers installed multiple motors to pump water, and after several hours of hard work, they salvaged the body. Chegunta police have opened a case.
