Hyderabad: Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University Vice Chancellor Dr B Neeraja Prabhakar said yoga, meditation and exercise should be part of the regular academic curriculum at universities.
Neeraja Prabhakar, who held the 2nd Inter-school Sports, Games, Culture and Literature Conference at the College of Horticulture here on Thursday, said that apart from promoting a positive outlook on life, sports can also boost confidence, self-esteem and empower a healthy body. VC said that the university is committed to providing the best nurturing atmosphere for students to work hard and achieve their goals, and to promote the all-round development of students.
A total of 38 sports, 15 cultural and four literary events were organized for the three-day event, which was attended by 57 men and 67 women from various horticultural faculties of the National University of Horticulture.
Neeraja Prabhakar said All India Agricultural University Agri Unifest will be held at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru in the third week of January 2023 and Agri-Sports will be held at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in February 2023 .
