Hyderabad: Today, Indian Railways started a trial run of the Chennai-Mysore Vander Bharat Express train from the MG Ramachandran Central Station in Chennai. It will be officially announced on November 11 by PM Narendra Modi.

This is the first train of its kind launched by Indian Railways in southern India. The first train was launched on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route in 2019.
Made entirely in India, the Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed train that can travel at 160 km/h, but in reality, the train travels at 130 km/h.
Currently, India has 4 such trains operating on major routes.
New Delhi – Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express
Mumbai Center – Gandhinagar Capital Vander Barrat Express
New Delhi – Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express.

However, in the past, the nose section of the intercity train has suffered minor damage when it hit a cow on various occasions.
While many applaud Indian Railways for introducing these trains, others are disappointed with the build quality.
