Hyderabad: Actor and animal lover Varalaxmi Sarathkumar flies the flag at the city’s pet vaccination drive organized by the Hermione Duncan Reddy Foundation (HDRF) on Friday. Many pets and pet parents participated in the free vaccination drive.
HDRF, an animal friendly organization, recently announced plans to set up a center in Hyderabad. This will be the organization’s first center in Asia.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar expressed her pleasure to be part of the event, saying, “It is fantastic to see HDRF’s pet-friendly initiative. We need to take care of all living beings with care and empathy. This vaccination campaign will have It helps keep animals healthy and disease-free, and it also reduces the health hazards when they get lost occasionally.”
HDRF founder Dr Sree Reddy said the organization plans to vaccinate 5,000 dogs over the next three days. According to her, two mobile vans have been arranged and will vaccinate the animals around the city.
