Former News Editor of Doordarshan Aakiri Ramakrishna Rao has retired as News Editor of DDK Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The former news editor of Doordarshan Aakiri Ramakrishna Rao died here on Tuesday. He died at the age of 78 and is survived by his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren.
Ramkrishna Rao is a veteran journalist who started his career at All India Radio before moving to Dole when the government ran a broadcasting agency and started producing news capsules in the center of Hyderabad Doordarshan. He retired as News Editor at DDK Hyderabad.
After choosing to retire in Visakhapatnam, his health was failing. A funeral will be held in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
