Hyderabad: From rallies for 100% enrollment, street performances and flash mobs about Telangana’s progress over the past 10 years, hackathons, and inauguration of schools revamped under the ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ scheme, the Ministry of School Education Several events have been scheduled to commemorate ‘Telangana Vidya Dinotsavam’ (Telangana Education Day) on 20 June.
As part of the ‘Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu’ campaign to be held on June 22, the ministry has drawn up an action plan at three levels – village, school and district.
Schools will organize street performances at prominent locations in villages, telling the story of the progress the country has made in education over the past decade. The program also includes flash mobs of any educational event depicting progressive or prominent locations in Telangana. All state school students will receive free textbooks and two sets of uniforms. Except that students in grades I to V will receive free worksheets, while free notebooks will be distributed to students in grades VI and X.
Schools have been told to hold presentations on Telangana’s 10-year progress, vision and activities for school education, achievements and future roadmap. In addition to holding singing, dancing, drama and composition competitions for students, the school will also organize a recitation competition for poets and writers of Telangana. Other activities included participation in the festival of works of Telangana poets and writers and teachers in Kavi Sammelan/Mushaira.
The school’s top performers, 10 best principals, 15 best teachers, 5 best parents and 5 best school board members will also be honored.
