East Coast Railway (ECR) has decided to extend the operation of special weekly trains in summer to facilitate commuters’ travel.

Visakhapatnam: In order to ensure the convenience of passengers traveling during the ongoing summer holidays, the East Coast Railway (ECR) has decided to extend the operation of special weekly trains in summer.As part of this initiative, the Visakhapatnam-Banares weekly dedicated train No. 08588 will depart Visakhapatnam at 12.30 noon on June 21 and 28, and the next day at 4 pm. Arrive in Banares at 30:00
Likewise, Banaras-Visakhapatnam train 08587 operates once a week and will depart Banaras at 6pm on June 22 and 29, arriving in Visakhapatnam at 8:30pm the following day.
These special trains will stop at various stations along the line including Simhachalam, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Bobbli, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri, Barkakana ., Lateher , Daltonganj, Garwaroad, Dehri on Son, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pandit DeenDayal Upadhyay, and Varanasi, providing easy connectivity between Visakhapatnam and Banaras stations.
