Warangal: On Tuesday, a police investigation into the alleged leak of Hindi SSC exam papers confirmed that the exam papers were indeed coming out of the exam hall 77 minutes after the start of the exam. More importantly, the police also found out that the person who got the test paper had previously worked for a news channel and now worked for an opposition party.

Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath said the test papers came out at around 10.47am after the exam started at 9.30am. In an interview with “Telangana Today”, he said a former journalist of a TV channel who now works for a political party received the test paper.

“We are investigating this incident in all aspects and want to know who sent the newspaper to the reporter. I think this is an attempt to help some students by providing answers in various ways such as ‘copying’,” he said, adding more More details will be announced in the evening.

Meanwhile, Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy called the DEOs of Warangal and Hanamkonda to inquire about the situation. She said the state government would crack down on those who tried to cause trouble for students.

The test papers are said to have been leaked from Uppal village in Kamalapur mandal in Hanamkonda district. After the leak, it started circulating in WhatsApp groups in Warangal district, according to some sources.

Upon hearing of the document leak, Warangal District Collector P Pravinya immediately asked District Education Officer (DEO) Vasanthi, Mandal Education Officer (MEO) and Deputy Education Officer (DEO) to look into the matter.

“We are investigating the code on the leaked test paper to determine whether it is from Warangal district or Hanamkonda district,” she said, adding that the test paper may have been leaked from the Kamalapur mandal in Hanamkonda district. Warangal District Education Officer (DEO) D Vasanthi said they were not aware of leaked test papers in the district and there was no code or any hall ticket number on the test papers.
